| FARO Laser Tracker
It is often the small things that matter the most; in large machinery, inaccuracies bigger than a slip of paper can mean the difference between normal operation and hundreds of thousandths of lost dollars. In the past, such high accuracy measurements would take substantial time, money and expertise to complete. Enter the FARO Laser Tracker: an automated, highly accurate portable measuring system that greatly reduces the costs and downtime that are typically associated with high-accuracy measurements. Its portability, long range and consistency make it ideal in a diverse field of applications from component quality assurance to machine alignments. The measurements may be recorded in a wide range of three-dimensional features such as circles, lines, and planes, which are then analyzed using the controlling software. Common tasks include checking tolerances against nominal CAD models, comparing geometrical features against set datums, or exporting data as a solid model for further CAD manipulation.
