Concert at the Steelback Centre

During the evening of December 8, 2007 a concert was held featuring a number of local bands and musicians that were popular in Sault Ste. Marie in the 60's and 70's. The concert was in support of the Sault Area Hospital Foundation and the Algom Residential Community Hospice.
Some of the bands included a house band, called the Cool Jerks, formed with many of the musicians present, Bobby D and the Bobcats, The Fireflies, The Vendettas, Those Rogues, The Amen, Polisi Bassoon, Apricot Brandy, Pavement Artists, and Jackson Hawke. There was also a special appearance by Keith McKie.
Musicians on the bill included Harvey Bell, John Bumbacco, Bob Clarke, Ron Clarke, Chris Dixon, Bob Drebit, Dean Drebit, Gene Falbo, Don Ford, Ray Gassi, Brock Gillis, Raymond Greco, Howard Hall, Alfred Johns, Mitch Lewis, Randy Lillie, Don MacDonald, Rusty McCarthy, Keith McKie, Dave Moffat, Rick Morrison, Lou Oliverio, Valerie Powley, Bryan Premeau, Brien Proulx, Pat (McCarthy) Psihogios, Lynn Reville, Ron Robinson, Rick Rogers, Sue Roy, Steve Ryan, Tim Ryan, Nick Scali, Jay Scali, Ed Schryer, Rodney St. Amand, Jim Traveson, Norm Van Hoek, Charles White, Doug Wilde, Bob Yeomans, Bob Yukich and Michael Yurich. Many of these musicians travelled in from out of town specially for the event.
